Are these different hens?
Yes they are different. We have a lot of buff orpingtons and red sex links so I can't really tell the difference😂 but I can with Chook because she is blind and she always comes to I or my sister's voice. The blue sapphires wasn't entered in the competition they are just a curious little chickens😂 and all the other chickens for that matter!

Here is my 4 year old Buckeye, Bertha! She is still laying every few months and molts every fall. She’s got big patches on her wings, neck and bottom. Tail feathers are on the way off too.

This little girl and her sister were about to be culled due to their refusal of oyster shells. They were eating their brittle eggs. There hadn't been a broody hen in the flock for 3 years. She was already molting when she went broody. She sat on 12 eggs, none of which were her's! 10 hatched and all are doing fine. This last severe heat wave was a breeze since there's AC in the coop🤠‼️
