If all these eggs actually hatch

Dh will not be happy with me. I had to add ducks,then the cochin and what about my sweet EE hens and don't forget the little guys the OEGB and Serama's. So it had to be done

So how many eggs do you have in all?

We are only doing chickens and only have 18 eggs (will have 18 eggs) and if they all hatch and we get lucky to have mostly female chicks, then my hubby will kill me.

This is our fist time ever doing something like this, its fun but the wait to find out what you have is a different story.

I have between 60 - 80 that made it to lock down in this hatch.....

Heehee - I know exactly what you mean! For my very first chickens we decided to try and hatch some eggs aiming for maybe 5 or 6 hens to start out with. Well to get 6 girls you need 12 chicks since half will probably be boys, and with shipped eggs I'll hope for a 50% hatch, so there we go - we need 24 eggs of course! So two dozen eggs it is. And the seller of the 1st dozen was so nice and generous he sent me 20 eggs!!! That set is in the incubator (yay) and the other dozen on the way (after an annoying delay... grrr) so soon we'll have about 32 eggs (and maybe a few extras if we're very lucky)!!! Oops. Everyone keeps asking me "what are you going to do if all these eggs hatch!?!?" Good question! Better get that coop finished!
