Hopefully they will still be ok. I will candle them tonight.

In preparation for the Great Storm coming here, and the temps which are supposed to go down to around zero, I insulated the incubators from the cold floor by putting towels under them.

Trouble is, it is 35 degrees out now, and nice and warm in here, and with the extra insulation, the LG went up to 102. Sigh.

I turned it down. Now I will have to watch it like a hawk to make sure when the temp starts to go down that I don't have the temp likewise going down in the LG.

The Genesis seems to still be the same. It has more eggs in it, so that helps keep it solid also.

The towels probably covered the air holes.
If it is a still-air 'bator, the heat circulates by hot air rising through the air holes on the lid which pulls fresh, cool air through the holes in the bottom.
Make sure the holes aren't blocked... or you'll compromise your air circulation!

Oh dear. Thank you. I did not think of that. I thought of it on TOP of the incubator, but not underneath.

It is always something, isn't it.

Catherine.
