October 4th I hatched 2 button quails, one sadly passed away... the other one survived! Grew up a friendly little bird. He soon developed a bib and started crowing! Now New Year’s Eve, I see him making a nest like thing. I figured he was just getting comfy for the night. As I walk by I hear a PLOP. I ran over. Look between “his” legs... TWO BROWN EGGS RIGHT THERE. I freaked out (I was excited) welp, we have a girl! Happy New Years!

Wow, congrats!

Some females have their own 'bibs'. One of my quails seemed to be a female, until it got a bib around seven months old.

I'm pretty sure she's a female though, because she lost the bib again.
