Oh my turkey!

So yesterday my turkey Etta was walking around all puffed up posturing like a big turkey and my friend said "are you sure Etta is a female? I think only Toms do that" so i googled how to sex a turkey and proceeded then to check Etta's vent. Well my friends Etta is now Eddie! Hahaha!

My blue slate hen was puffing and strutting from the time she was a couple of weeks old. Even females do that.

My hens display when excited. The big difference is their snood doesn't enlarge as big as the Toms, it stays smaller.
