Well I was told my little henny penny was a welsomer bantam. Well if she was her eggs would be dark brown. I saw her in the nesting box, and got there pretty quickly after she laid the egg and it's a light tinted egg. not a welsomer for sure. who has a clue what kind she is? she's a bit over 1 lb and used to be shy but now is 2nd in line for the throne of little chickens. gets along great with big chickens too. I put in some pics to show her tailset, etc too.

AH HA. I got her at the local animal shelter last december. They were so wrong on the next "HEN" I got a barred rock that ended up being a dominique rooster, that when I saw this egg I just figured they were wrong again.
I guess I'll just keep calling her a welsummer. The 2 males that went in with her looked exactly like the photos of welsummer bantams. very handsome. and she is a very pretty girl.
