Henrietta23 generously gave me some ee/silkie cross eggs and two buttercup eggs. I only had access to an LG bator from TSC. So far, so good. The buttercup eggs are developing, I can see them moving, and the ee/silkie eggs are blue, so it's hard to see. BUT from what I can see there is a hard line between the airsac and the dark blob I'm hoping are chicks. Today we are at day 18, and so since I am new to this the direction say LOCKDOWN on day 18. We're officially at day 18 today. Are the eggs ok? I never got a humidity checker, just filled the cups as needed... and I know that I have at least two developing embryos. Do I just sit tight now and leave them alone????

Thanks to Henrietta23 for the eggs to replace the beloved flock members I hatched last year from eggs she gave me to satisfy my virgin broodies. Reggie died trying to protect one of his girls....

ok, it's day 21, but NO CHICKS! I don't dare open the incubator to candle again. I'm wondering if there is a chance that the eggs are slow because the bator was not up to 99.5 for the first few days but at 90-95 degrees??? Last week some of eggs resembled the pictures of eggs at days 9 and 12? is that possible? So despite being put in the bator on 4/7, could the hatch day be later than anticipated? I'm thinking I'll just let things be until Sunday? SUGGESTIONS? I'd hate to write them off when they were just on a different calendar...
