Oh no what happened? splayed leg? VIDEO!!!

I vaccinate all my chicks that I hatch for Mareks. I've done this for about a year now, thought I've never had a confirmed case - it's just very prevalent, and easy for them to catch.

Is Newcastle disease typically something that backyard breeders need to worry about, or is the Marek's vaccine sufficient for most flocks?
 
It really depends on what you have in your area. And everyone has an opinion, of course! I prefer not to vaccinate for anything other than Mareks, with the hope that a strong immune system will help them fight things off naturally.
