(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
From the age of 6 to the age of 13 I had chickens on my parents' farm. LOTS of chickens. Lots of ducks and turkeys too. Havent done any birds for 12 years but now that I have kids I want them to experience it!

Ordered Australorp, Cuckoo Maran, RIR, Speckled Sussex, GL Wyandotte, and Welsummer

Googled Chickens a LOOOOONG time ago and found it
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
a little of everything. Reading, crochet, gardening, cooking
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 4&5 yr old boys and a 36 yr old DH who is just another kid. We live on the farm that he grew up on in rural MN. He raises angus, and with an enormous, empty yard, I am doign my part to zoo it up, we have goats and ducks and dogs right now. I work at Social Services, and spend most of my down time at work on this site.
