Ohio Chick!

[Yes I said Chickens...]

We just started our flock 8 weeks ago and have a final tally of 14 chickens, all from Tractor Supply here in Ohio. They are; 4 Assorted Bantams born March 22, 2011 (Cheddar, Chocolate, Caramel, and Mocha), 4 Pullets - Cochins I believe - (Chico, Paco, Carlos, and Bunny all named by Logan), 2 Cornish Rocks ( lovingly called the Foods), and 4 Black Austrulore ( Fee, Fie, Foe, and Fumb in no particular order) . It has been a dream of mine for many years, and finally decided to dive in this year. My name is Kaija and my husband is Ron. My stepdaughter is Sadie and Stepson is Logan. We began this journey together and it has brought lots of joy to our lives already! The chicken coop is Ron and Logan's huge undertaking (it is built better than our house!). I will get some pics up eventually and would like to start a blog but am not sure where or how since I have never done one before.

I look forward to sharing and learning from everyone!!!

PS- Since we live in an urban area, when we tell people that we have chickens I always have to repeat....Yes I Said Chickens!
