Do they have like rows of sell pens , or i should say does a lot of people sell chickens there

The OHIO NATIONAL is recognized to be one of the very best places to buy and sell exhibition poultry. As America's largest annual poultry show it is a great gathering of the top breeders in the country. Columbus is generally the place they sell the birds that they were considering keeping themselves right up to the end. Certainly there are lesser quality birds for those that are not interested in or in need of the top of the line.

Last year there were 425 sale cages set-up in the show hall and offered for rent. All were utilized. In addition there are dozens of sales booths (8' x 10') that are also fully utilized by folks who were selling out of their own cages and setups.

And while you are in the buying mode you can see and handle all sorts of merchandise from some of the largest and most knowledgeable sellers of poultry equipment and supplies in the US.

This years show is budgeted for an expected 5,000 birds.

so i should be able to find mosr breeds of chickens there and what time can people start coming in and buying nov 9

Actually the bird commerce starts at 10 am on Friday which is when coop-in starts. Usually bird trading events like this in the fall are a buyer's market. Not so at Columbus. Buyers are there early and aggressive.

The top.end show bird prospects go fast as do the breeder quality birds. By Saturday noon the pet and just nice birda ro have around are mostly what is left



Remember that The OHIO NATIONAL is the epitome of hard core exhibition poultrymen. If you are looking for Coronation Sussex or Blue FuFu Swedish Flower Hens expect to be disappointed. Likewise there will be.few if any chicks at this time of the year

im confused when can we bu birds and im looking for preety good quality birds

i thought Friday was setup and Saturday and Sunday was the show, when can you buy what the earliest time saturday you can buy

The building opens Friday morning at 9 and remains so until 10P. A lot of birds change hands during this time.

The building opens at 7 on Saturday and closes at 5P. Judging begins at 9 on Saturday.
