Well we sold off a few of our hatch to a friend and have decided to hang on to 17 of them so far. We are in the process of making a pen for them and have the idea of splitting them up eventualy, once I can sex them! lol........

They hatched July 19th. So Im sure I have a few more weeks before I can tell males from females, correct? Now once I get that under control. How should I split them up? What's a good ratio? Or better yet, what has worked for ya'll?

What would you guys do with 17 BW's? I know most eat them but I have these grand idea's of raising my next generation before that happens

Thanks!

I've pretty much got the same plan as you. I have 9 that hatched July 4th. I'm still not sure which are the males or females. I'm hoping to raise some more and maybe sell some chicks or eggs. I'm trying to figure out how to catch the little buggers. I guess the only way is to wait til dark so they won't see to fly.

LOL--- SORRY CANT RESIST. PAIRS WORK WELL IN CONFINED SPACES, OR TRIOS. AS FAR AS LARGE FLIGHT PEN AND A COMMUNITY BASIS MAY WORK BUT IN LATE SPRING WHEN BREEDING SEASON KICKS IN BEWARE THEY CAN BE MEAN LIL DEVILS TO EACH OTHER!
