Ok can i see some pics of..........

No, the rooster is the only one who pecks there top crests off when he breeds them, there is really nothing you can do about it. Most birds will peck there top crest off though, it just depends.

greentree- I bought my birds from a breeder, you very rarely do you get good quality polish from a hatchery.

Thanks, Peeps7! I wish I could be on your egg list. Do you know about how long it will be?
NC is too far from Texas to take your roo, or I would in a heartbeat!

Although she is in trouble today, I caught her eating an egg! I will have to get some oyster shell for her.

Here she is:

I'm glad you started this thread, My buff lace girl just started laying 10 days ago. She laid one day, skipped two and now lays every other day. Is it possible she might start to lay everyday or has her pattern been set now. Shes 27 weeks.

I'm not sure i want one if it gets its crest pecked out....
How much damage do you think 2 sex links will do?

Soooo many questions.....

It just really depends, my polish are dominant over the cochins (believe it or not) so thats probably why they don't peck their feathers out. You could give it a whirl to see what happens but if it didn't work out you'd have to find your birds a home.

I'm not surprised, most cochins iv know were calm and submissive.

That will be a tough one...don't know anyone who i would trust with my chickens but i don't want it to suffer.....

Mabey i could trim the crest?
