I have 2 Isa browns lay big brown eggs, 1 Americana lays blue eggs and 3 olive eggers. All over a year old all raised at the same time. Benn laying eggs like crazy since last September. I noticed these smaller pinkish brown eggs a couple months ago so I thought one of my Isa browns must be low on something from the winter so I ramped up some vitamins and calcium.

About 3 weeks ago one of my olive eggers was killed so I am down 1 just 2 olive egg layers left and I noticed production in green eggs is way down.. I spent Saturday watching them go in and lay and checked eggs after every one and one of the olive eggers is laying a small pinkish egg... every thing I read says they do not change color but I never had that egg for months so am I nuts???

I’ve heard that the bloom can change the colour but I don’t know how much.

What colour are they on the inside if you peel away the membrane? White eggs are white inside and brown eggs are white inside, the brown is just a pigment coating and when a blue egg gets a brown coating the egg turns green, blue is not a pigment though so blue and green eggs should be blue on the inside.

No idea how you could get pink with a blue base although some brown layers can look pretty pink. Are you absolutely sure that it’s an Easter Egger laying them?
