Actually, this looks pretty cool and gives me all kinds of ideas.

I like the idea that you can see everything going on, but do you think it would be hard to regulate the temp with that much glass?

I used an old aquarium to incubate and hatch runner ducks last year.

I used pcs of scrap insulating foam sheets (the pink stuff) and taped it to the outside on 3 sides for insulation. Used foam with a lightbulb as the topper. Held heat pretty well... did the job.

That would be my concern. I was more interested in the type thermostat being used. It was thrity bucks bought seperately, the hole thing scared me a bit.

BE VERY CAREFUL!! I bought one. Had a hard time controling the temp because no fan. When I finally figured out the thermostat, the screw he puts on it won't stay in place, so changes settings on it's own....The thermostat can shut itself off at 125 degrees. Fortunately no one was in it. When thought I had it regulated, then the chicks I did put in there kept trying to climb into the electrical box holding the thermostat. It was a big waist of money, not to mention that the guy took almost 4 weeks to make and send it. He does not have them ready to ship out, and has other job etc. Also, with all this, poor response to communication.
Now did I just convince you all to go out and buy some?
