OK, this is getting out of hand.....

it could be molting.....but i dont know...no one else looks anything like her.... i didnt know they molt their beards??? its been pretty hot here... i thought they only molt when it starts gettin cold?

Isn't God wonderful!!! Such a good idea. I remember the old hens as a little girl and how good they were to their little babies, watching out for them and taking them on their food strolls. . .

Another thought regarding this:

My bearded silkie pullet molted about half her beard a few days before she decided to go broody and now her whole breast is plucked.
