OK to eat cracked eggs?

It's got a "dimple" in it, about the size of a dime. It looks like the membrane is intact. My crazy chicken scratched ALL of the pine bedding out of the nesting box.

Edited to actually ask the question! LOL! Is it ok to eat this egg??

I have eaten cracked eggs, as long as the membrane is in tact. No side effects. I always put these at the top of my 'Eggs to Eat' box.

Same here - as long as the membrane is intact, we've eaten them with no problems afterwards.

I would think that bacteria could still get in, but if the egg and nest box were clean, and you were of the adventurous type..I would think that cooking a freshly laid egg would kill the bacteria....
People have eaten worse and lived, lol!

When ever I am not for sure I use the eggs for baking - that way if anything did get inside the membrane it will be killed during baking just don't eat the dough.
