Ok to move?

My chickens have a single roost above the nesting boxes, on occasion one of my Easter Eggers will roost on top of the nesting box but is below the roost. This is the second time I've moved her onto the roost, she makes noise, doesn't put up too much of a fight and looks like she goes right back to sleep. I don't want to wash off poo, still is it ok for me to move a sleeping chicken?

You don't want to wash the poo off? You, the chicken, or the nest box? Get rid of the poo maker. Just joking. To stop them from trying to roost on the nest boxes, slope a board over them keeps the chickens off and protects the nests from the birds on the roost. No reason you can't move a sleeping chicken you already have. They may protest but they'll get over it.
