How long is too long? DO they store well? Tell me anything I might have missed.
OH! What is an acceptable staggered hatch?

not sure about your hatch question, but quail eggs will last...month at least if refrigerated . if left out and you plan to hatch, i would incubate within the week, no longer then 10 days

I would collect eggs for about 6 or 7 days and put them in the bator. I would have had my bator up and runnin stable for a few days prior to adding eggs. I would write a date on my eggs, either when collected or when set. Then I would collect for another 6 or 7 days and do it again. Every 7 days you get more birds hatching. Run your staggered hatch till you get all the birds you want, or till you run out of pen space. Grow them out and pick only the biggest birds you have as breeders. Eat all the rest. rinse, lather, repeat,.... Bill
