That is funny you both answered all my questions at the same time!!
Thank soo much for the help.
There is one thing from my previous question that i am still wanting to know though, are mcmurrys hatchery stock(pekin ducks) a good stock(they have two different kind, is it that much of a difference?), or is ideals better? because the ducks came from mcmurry, that is what the previous owner told me.
On ducks breeding in cold weather. i am located in orlando, fl. I do know a couple of people at the moment that have some fertile pekin eggs that are going to hatch this December, i guess since it does get cool here in orlando but not as cold as the north...I am thinking if i should buy maybe a duckling or not or just wait for my own to start making some ducklings.............
Greyfields you have always helped with my questions thanks much!
I want to know though do you know or do you eggchel know how to sex day old ducklings? if i were to buy a duckling i would just like to get a female.
Also the duckling that i am thinking in buying has atleast one parent that is crested, do all pekin breeds have that gene? and what is the percentage in getting crested pekins? pics would be great too!
Thanks much!
