Okay what should i know?

So my grandfather has a peacock and he just lives in the coop a and gets his food and fresh water. Is there anything else i should do to have a healthier happier bird? He lost his friends a year ago, what would be a good friend to get him until i can get him some girls of his own? What about medical stuff, Wormer, ect? What kind of food do you give your peacocks? I think he's just on scratch right now. My grandfather is an old time farmer and he basically said i could have the peacock.

I found that after posting, lol, go figure. What form does the wormer come in?

I use liquid, safeguard and ivomec.
Read through a few of the recent post and you will find out exaclty how to administer them.
Safeguard for goats is 3cc per gal. of water.
Ivomec depends on age of bird, but between 1/2 - 1 cc on the back.

I am fairly new to peafowl myself, but there are tons of knowledgable people here......Deerman has helped me a ton!! And is a great guy to talk to!!

my grandfather's coop is not heated, and never has been, and he's had peas as long as ive been alive, Should i heat it or leave it as it is?

what kind is it as long as it is not java i would not worry about it my male wont go inside perfers to roost outside even when it is raining.

My Pea's stay out in the rain too. The guy I pick up a trio from said that they refused to go inside in the winter!! Said they played and hung out 90% of the time outside. That was in central michigan, so i have no worries for them here.
