I have a mystery layer! My best guess is one of my EE ladies although I wasn't aware that they laid off white eggs. Could it possibly be a GLW, CM or BR? I thought each of those laid brown eggs in varying shades. Help please because I'm stumped!

EEs can lay any color because they're mutts. I for instance, breed 'rip off EEs'. They don't have any coloring genes and just lay white or maybe a cream egg if I'm lucky.

These all match common EEs, but not one has a blue or brown egg gene, so no blue or green eggs for me 😅

Thanks! I have a mint green layer or 2, a turquoise blue layer and I guess now a creamy white one! Totally not surprised, they were TSC "Americaunas". I appreciate the help! I had read that they occasionally lay brown or pinkish eggs as well as the blue and green but I don't ever recall white! Now at least I know I'm not nuts, at least about this!🤣

What are all the breed you have? How old are they?
They were spring chicks. April or thereabouts. I have the aforementioned EEs, Barred Rocks, ISA browns, a broody Columbian Wyandotte, Gold Laced Wyandottes, a Sapphire Gem, French Cuckoo Marans and Wellsummers as well as second year White Leghorns.

Your birds are beautiful, even if they don't lay colors! I saw my EE Lilly in the box yesterday, she's mostly white with splash of reddish brown on her chest. I think The white chicken is my mystery layer!

If you think it's her laying, then you can put some food coloring on her vent, and if the next egg has color on it, then you know it's her.
