OKC city council voted no 7 to 2 against chickens on lots smaller than 1 acre. They said they get 300 complaints a year about roosters. They also said they have a very difficult time enforcing the code.

I am in Oklahoma county but in Choctaw. I never checked the city ordinances here but I do have nearly 2.5 acres.

I never checked. Since I don't live in Oklahoma City. I live in Choctaw at the edge of town limits. My neighbors don't complain. One has horses on his lot and the other has 4 dogs. Down the street a little further there is a several coon hounds in a pen. Cows in fields across the street. I didn't figure chickens would be an issue since I am in a rural section at the edge of town limits.

sounds like my neck of the woods. there are cows across the street.lol i literally got t-boned in my van one time
