Old chick fountains

I lucked into about 9 or 10 of these old chick fountains. Can someone tell me approx what year these were popular? They came from an old barn that had lots of other jars from the 1970s in it so I am thinking approx from the 1970s? What do you all think? Most say Cool Water Fountain on the bottom, but one says National Ideal Premier Chick Fount. I will use them with my babies, though I doubt I will need 10 of them!

I couldn't come up with any possible time frames on google, but they do sell on eBay for around 20 bucks!

Are the bottoms plastic?

They still sell them, usually with plastic jars but glass jars with the right threads still fit.

Yes, the bottoms are plastic, but they have a huge mouth on the jar.

Ahh......Wonder if it matches to wide mouth canning jars?
Now those larger bases they probably don't make anymore.
