Hi All.
Just found this site from SufficientSelf. Looking forward to meeting you all and learning a lot of stuff. The Hubster and I are probably going to start with chickens in the spring. I need to know a lot more than I do now. Not sure whether to start with a few for eggs and get my feet wet or what. I know a bit about chickens cause I grew up in Kentucky on a small farm. But the research I have been doing lately seems much more involved than when I was young and on the farm.
We live in a somewhat rural area close to Cincinnati, Oh. We have two dogs, Herbie, my spoiled rotten Schnauzer/Chihuahua mix, and Marty, the Old Man stray that found us about three years ago. He is a shepherd mix of some kind.
We have two sons, both grown. One is still in the Army, and the youngest got out a year and half ago and is back home. The oldest is married, (kinda) and has one daughter.
Thanks for having me here.
Deb
