old coop design

I found these coops in old poultry book. I am wondering how well they work. I like the design low to the ground. Less material and cost to build. Any BYCers use this style?

IMO it will be very hard to clean it.

Is that a tractor, or stationary? I agree that it would be hard to get in those low corners if it was a stationary coop. If it's a tractor, though, you would just move it, and leave the mess behind!

These coops are stationary. Were there chicken tractors a hundred years ago?
