Well my magpie has finally gone broody with 17 or so eggs - yikes!

I have two pens, on with my magpie, cayuga, and black swed female and two drakes. The drakes are actually being rehomed tomorrow.

The other pen has my broody buff, old drake, and 4 young females.

Whenever I open the gates for them all to free range I have to watch the drakes now. My old drake will go into the other pen and run my magpie off her nest! And if my buff comes out of her rabbit hutch the other drakes go for her. This isnt so much a problem as my magpie being yanked off her eggs.

Is there anyway to stop this bad behavior? I mean i could always close the gate - but when my magpie actually comes out I want her to have a chance to forage before she goes back on.
