If so the answer is yes.
You could see if someone is looking for older hens. I currently am looking but I know many that would like to have a hen that ONLY lays a couple eggs a week. Thanks a lot for your feedback

Just a thought in case you didn't want to kill
Sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I bet it will Taste Great though, even more since you know where it came fromOMG,
I killed the bird this morning, I actually would have given it away instead.
No worries sir, I currently have 14 egg laying hens and this one has been laying eggs for 3yrs now, and is losing feathers, and I wanted to make room in the coop for six more that are 1 month and 3 days old and will move to the coopin June and the one I killed is the hen I think is pecking , breaking and eating .it's own eggs and teaching others to learn the behavior . Here there are so many people that want Hens for the eggs, then can't understand why there are so many ! Actually most just don't want to deal with the cleaning LOL.
It does sound like it was more than just an issue of getting older and not laying. Egg eaters are just a nightmare, especially when they start teaching others, as yours did.No worries sir, I currently have 14 egg laying hens and this one has been laying eggs for 3yrs now, and is losing feathers, and I wanted to make room in the coop for six more that are 1 month and 3 days old and will move to the coopin June and the one I killed is the hen I think is pecking , breaking and eating .it's own eggs and teaching others to learn the behavior .
