Old metal BROWER 846 on ebay $162.53 ! AMAZING!

I bet the seller is thrilled. Funny thing is, the ultimate winner had placed an even higher $ proxy bid on the first day of the auction. The others just kept driving him closer to his limit by bidding it up. I guess that's what they figured it was worth. I got a nearly unused one like it last summer at a local auction for $22. It's full of pilgrim goose eggs else I might just put mine up on eBay!

I have two of these old ones and paid a lot less than that.
I am keeping them around, wouldnt put them on ebay for anything.

I have one that belonged to my uncle, and just fired it up; the humidity is taking forever to go up. I put in 3 plastic sushi trays with sponges and it's still low. Maybe by tomorrow.

But the real reason I just searched Brower, was to see if anyone knows who sells the digital upgrade kit I read about somewhere (the link was dead). This one is ok so far on temps, just a bit touchy to adjust so I don't trust it.

Has anyone seen a digital upgrade for the 846?

Thanks

At one point in time those Brower metal incubators were everywhere. They were as common as the various styrofoam incubators. I had a couple back when I first started keeping birds many, many years ago. To be honest, they were my least favorite incubators of any that I ever have owned. They just were very inconsistent. I found it quite difficult to get them to maintain steady temperature. Of course, I'm sure how well they work depends on a lot of things, but I never liked mine at all.
