Hello from eastern NC! We’ve had chickens since our “chickies”were in 4-H. Now we are “empty nesters,” looking to begin our journey with quail. They have different housing and care needs, so it feels like starting over from “scratch.” Looking to those with experience to learn from.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Oooh, quail are so much fun to keep! I highly recommend keeping them Aviary style as they live such interesting lives when given the opportunity. They will love all the room and flight space. Add brush piles for lingering under, quail love this. If you use grass hay for floor litter, some will build nests and this style of keeping can even promote their natural instincts to go broody!

Enjoy your quail!
