I have some aged poop- it sat under our coop for a year prior to us buying our house and we don't know what to do with it. I have read that putting it into the run with some dirt and straw is an option? We haven't built our compost pile yet, so we're not quite ready to compost.
The poop is very dry and broken down! Just didn't know if there were any health hazards to putting poop into the run where my chickens spend most of their time scratching, eating, and hanging out.
Any advice or guidance is appreciated!

I use the manure mixed with the soil for fertilizer for my plants, trees, and garden. The manure is high in nitrogen. Here the farmers use it to fertilize the fields before planting. I would not put chicken poop in with my chickens, but maybe someone else might think it is ok. But I don't.

Its the best fertilizer money can buy. Dont you have trees/anything you can scatter it around ? I wouldnt put it in the coop either. Pretty soon you will have more in there then you know what to do with. LOL If its a yr. old its safe for your garden.

We do have a few apple and pecan trees we could put it around. I may just pile the rest up behind the barn and use it on an as-needed basis!
