Old straw

We will change out the straw from the coop for the first time in a couple of weeks. The plan is to compost it, but there are varying thoughts about how to do it. Could the straw, with a month's worth of poop in it, go directly onto the garden? Would the poop be too hot? Would it be better to put it all into the compost bin and let it break down in there? Thank you.

yes, I believe it will be too hot! need to let it compost for a couple of months or it will burn whatever you are putting it into.
