Older Chicken Problems

Hello,

I have a chicken that is at least 6-8 years old that is having some unusual behavior. She had lived her life perfectly and has not had any issues until now and I want to make sure it stays that way.

Recently I have noticed her foot has swelled up quite a bit and has not been walking much and sitting a lot. It also kind of curled up a little and doesn’t sit straight. She still eats and drinks. Could this be gout? It’s been 2 weeks and no improvement. Is there anything I can do about it? The underside of her foot is a bit red so maybe some sort of irritation?
Also I noticed something forming over her eye that I assume is a cataract. I would like a second opinion on it.

At first glance, looks like Bumblefoot to me. Inspect the foot more closely, look for a small, probably scabbed over, penetration injury. Likely a bit of stick/twig trapped inside.

Soak , remove the scab, soak more if needed, extract the foreign body, treat w/ antibiotics as required.
