We are downsizing and have not replenished our flock in several years. This morning, I lost a hen and now have just one left. She is 7 years old and was still laying last fall. She was mourning the lost of our hen this morning, so will be lonely on her own. I'm in Albuquerque, NM if you can help me out.

If I was anywhere near you I would take her in a heartbeat, but I’m not unfortunately 😩

Thank you. I appreciate your comment. It's below freezing here at night, so we're bringing her inside tonight since she has no one to 'cuddle' with at night now.

I'm so sorry as well. Would also take her in but I live in Northern California. Good luck. You are very sweet chicken owners.

What breed is your hen, just wondering. Anyone you know who could transport her most of the way to the TX Hill Country any time soon? She sounds like a nice partner for my 8 y.o. 'special needs' Dominique hen.
