Hi everyone
frow.gif
Does anyone remember me ??? the crazy lady with the camera, lol. my gosh it's grown here, lots of new folks around.

I'm in northeast Louisiana, have a flock of 100 free ranging chickens. I started out 7 years ago with 6 production reds, by the next spring, 15 Buff Orps, the following spring, mix of Turkens,BSL's.. after that I've lost count, lol.
I do have 4 BCM's from Ruth & some assorted bantams... that keep hiding their nests & going on like rabbits

We live far out in the country, my family has 10 acres with a beautiful waterfront. We don't have any close neighbors & behind our place are hundreds of acres of farmland.

I've been through the ringer & then some, lol. I turned 41 this year & my gallbladder started giving me trouble, finally had surgery in June & now my arch on my left foot is falling.

If it's not one thing it's another.
I spent most of the summer trying to keep the chickens & my garden from dying from the heat... it was the hottest summer I can ever remember.
we finally got some relief today is the first cool day (70's) we've had since I don't know when. I sure feel alot better now, hot weather is depressing to me.

yall take care, Miriam

Hi! I'm fairly new on here but I'm truly addicted. WoW!! 100 free ranging birds! I wish I could turn mine loose but I've too many dogs coming in and out. I just visited family in Georgia and it was brutal!! I never knew the south was so hot. We're experiencing a heat wave right now in So. Cal. So glad we don't have the humidity though.

Welcome back!!

Hi im new too i'm in the UK and addicted but limited to 6 hens but my daughter is on here too hoping to breed so it might end up me helping her. hope so because im really wanting more than 6
