Thanks to all. looks like I may have a Crested Legbar Roo to rehome.
Anybody in NJ interested?

What age do Roosters start mating? Maybe I can get some fertile eggs before rehoming (I have a Cream Legbar hen)

Not that there was any doubt, but the Crested Legbar just gave the beginnings of what was meant to be a crow.

I once had a cockerel successfully mating and fertilizing eggs (from the older hens) at like 3, maybe 4, months old LOL confirmed because I didn’t have any other older roosters, just him and his brothers. then I also had a cockerel that didn’t even start crowing until like almost 7 months old. so it varies.
