Unfortunately, our Olive Egger cockerel is being too aggressive toward the ladies. We have a very small flock (5), and I just don’t have the capacity to keep him out and maintain separate living quarters to ease the pullets.
He isn’t overly aggressive toward me, and enjoys treats, but he has started to challenge me more often, especially when I shelter the ladies from his aggression.
I believe he is a Legbar mix. He is a handsome young dude, and we really wanted to try and make it work with him (he was a surprise in our initial chick batch), but we can’t have him being mean to the hens.
