Hey folks, our feed process has been working great thanks to all of the info and help we’ve found here. I was wondering if it would be safe to try wiping down their FF troughs with an ultra light coat of olive oil to allow the end of day dried FF specs to spray off easier. Shallow searching turned up olive oil can be beneficial but it would be such a small amount (slight film) done maybe weekly I don’t think they’d actually consume much.

This is for a batch of 60 CX currently going through 5G of thick FF per day while topping off with dry when they run out of FF. We then pull the dry feeders at night. 12-on/12-off seems to be working great, just looking for a way to speed up daily trough cleaning.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Pam cooking spray or better, some hard floor wax or car wax. Put it on before buffing most of it off. Makes the feed flow faster and makes cleaning much easier.
