So, I got a two year old pair of India Blue about a month and a half ago or so.........

This morning when I went to feed everyone, she had laid an egg!

First, can I incubate it? Never done that before, as a matter of fact have to rush out and buy one..... do you have to set the temperature, if so what do I set it at? Do I have to turn it?

Don't know when she laid it, but how long can it sit without her setting (she is not) before it is no good?

I have a lot of inside birds, and chickens in addition to the peacocks. I know that with the canaries and the finches that they don't set until they are done laying... is it the same with peacocks????

Help!!!!

True she will not set untill all are layed, eggs need turned every day , i keep mine for a week. after 10 day hatch rate drops.

You can use a broody hen to set the eggs also.

To be on the safe side... give the egg to a brooding chicken.. it so much easier than fiddling with an incubator... especially if its your 1st incubator...

You should play with the incubator with chicken eggs.. that way if they dont make it.. you can stand to loose chicken eggs instead of peafowl eggs...
