I am on day 20 of my first ever incubation! I have three that are now pipped and I can hear the babies inside chirping! It is a beautiful sound!

Just wait until you see that first hatched chick! I sure hope you are prepared to lose some sleep tonight!

What kind of eggs did you set? Make sure to not open the incubator from now on. Baby chicks can survive for 3 days in the incubator. So give them all a chance to hatch before opening the incubator.

My hens are RIR, Red Sex Links an I also have 2 Black Australorp hens, my rooster is a RIR. I started with 12 random eggs, removed 6 that were not developing at day 15. Right now I have 3 that are pipped and 3 still waiting.

I started with 15 shipped Sulmtaler eggs. One had a detached air-cell, but I gave it a chance to grow. At day 17, it had not developed, so it was removed. All 14 other eggs developed. I have never had this many shipped eggs go into lockdown. Fingers crossed for all of us.
