Haha, it’s insane how those babies move! My silver male is obsessed with “flying the coop” and has been since the moment he could fly, but he doesn’t go very far and waits for me to pick him up and put him back in so no harm done. I’ve heard horror stories from others though, about birds just flying away...

One time when I was opening my pen to clean their water, one of my birds just decided, 'huh, today looks like a good day for escape...' and she just flew over the fence. She did that two times before. But we always found her... with some knocking on neighbours doors.

Scrappy can jump over my head with ease if he ever felt like it, as he had done so in his youth, but now in his lazy potato old age, he'd rather nap on me instead of being a wild child. Though he does have mild moments of rebellion every now and then.

This is about as wild as he gets. XD

They are crazy... once, one of my females got out and flew right over our 5 feet tall fence gate. We got her back though!

I had a young roo fly all the way across my yard (about 40') and over a 10' tall soundwall. I never saw him again.
