OMG! The wait is killing me!!

I think quail are worse. Less turning time but the darn things never hatch when expected. Sometimes they go early and sometimes you spend 4 days waiting on them. My buttons just pipped right at the very end of day 18. They also usually don't sit there pipped so you can see them making progress. You don't have quail and then you do have quail so you worry the whole time. My first quail hatch I checked the bator, checked the bator, checked the bator, finally sat down at the computer cause I still saw nothing and 10mins later wondered why my dog was sniffing the bator. I walked over to hear very faint peeps and there's a button chick running around in there. The quail drive me insane.

just wait till it is 3 days. Then 1 day. Then 1 hour. then wait wait wait. Best thing to do is to forget about it!!

It gets even harder when you are 2/3 of the way through.... if your like me you get really impatiant. Today I was feeling like the next week was going to drag on forever..... So I decided I needed to "test" my brooder...... so I went down to TSC to pick up a few "tester" chicks, but they were all sold out, I was soo sad

, I was just there last week, and they had like 60 chicks, but aparently I was there right after the chicks arrived, and they are actually hard to catch in stock. Ugh, I guess I will have to wait, and just keep staring at the bator, LOL, on Wednesday I get to take out the Turner, and they are supposed to hatch on Saturday. Good Luck!

I probably checked on my bator about 57 times yesterday (and it's only day 2!)

The kids checked it about 15 times more than I did but this is going to be a really long 20 days!

LOL Am I the only one that decided I didnt want to have to worry bout checking my bators...

My LG is sitting on a corner table right next to my chair like inches away and my homemade bator is about 4 feet away on a chair next to the couch.

I know Im probly wierd , these are aslo the more stable places in my house so there is a method or at least an exscuse for my madness.
