Ok, the response from Omlet was to set to factory default. If that doesn't work then open up control and unplug connector and plug back in. Obviously its a glitch but they didn't elaborate on the cause.

Yep they had me do the same thing… once we did all that and the issue persisted, they sent me a new one and told me they would send a prepaid package to return the “faulty” one. The new one had (and still has) the exact same issue. Luckily I don’t have anyone (particularly children) around that would mess with the controller so I’m not too worried about locking the controls.

I'm sorry your having bad luck with your door..
I had the same issue. Took the door back off the coop..
Changed batteries,, reset the factory settings and worked it a million times Before putting it back on the coop..
Once on the coop, I did screw it down too tight and it made it off kilter just a bit.. boom again wouldn't close. Darn!!
Loosed up screws until I could get it to open n closed.. snugged the screws again until a happy spot was met. NOW! I LOVE MY DOORS. grey and green.

Hi guys - I recently purchased an Omlet coop door so I wouldn't have to worry about opening the door in the morning. Ive been infrequently having issues with the door, where it only closes partially, and displays an error reading, "wiring fault."

I contacted the company and requested a warranty replacement. The new door has the EXACT same issue - infrequently.

I've done some testing, and I have noticed that I only have the issue when I lock the display. By pressing and holding the down arrow button, you can lock the display so that the settings can't be changed without first unlocking the display again, by pressing and holding the down button.

Has anyone with an Omlet coop door noticed the same thing? I've kept my display unlocked for 3 weeks now and have yet to experience a wiring fault error. When the display is locked, it works most of the time but fails every once in awhile.

If you haven't noticed the issue, but have an omlet coop door, could you possibly test my theory? See if your door gets a wiring fault when in locked mode?

I have the green door with software version 1.2.5!

We are also having this problem, now we also don’t use the locking function, hopefully problem solved
