So I am a first timer. My hens have started laying. I have one Hamburg Roo and 5 hens. I have an Omlet coop.
I keep it clean. The problem is my roosters beautiful white puffy tale feathers are getting pooped on in the coop. And so they are brown. From poop stain

Any idea how to fix this?????

I assume with 6 chickens, you have the larger Cube (not the Go)? I have 4 grown hens in the Cube, and it's a tight fit, especially in warmer weather. And I have the nesting box partition taken out and built a (more) proper roosting bars for them (vs the grey plastic bars, which I don't think they like much). I have a nesting box setup in the run (cat litter box - the kind with the cover).

They may A) not have enough room or B) need more vertical space to roost out of their mess. Both would be solved by doing something like this. This photo was taken before I realized I could also remove the grey bars as well (which makes cleaning SO much easier since the poop can't get stuck between the bars -which now that I think about it, could also possibly a cause for your roosters dirty feathers?). I high recommend using PDZ in the tray - so easy to scoop clean every day.
