Don’t close the door during summer. Keeping it open helps with airflow and cooling it down. The run that comes with it is enough that the door that closes the coop of from the run can stay open and there won’t be a problem with predators. In summer I also install a sprinkler system that I set on a 1 hour timer and that sprinkles the coop with water for 1 minute every hour during the day which helps cool it down. I live in Victoria but these tricks helped keep my chickens cool during that really bad heatwave we had back in 2019 (we had 3 straight days of over 40 degrees).
