Is sevin dust the best to use or is there something better than that for chicks?

sevin dust is good to use on chicks, I have used it and also Epernix pour on. which i like better since no dust.

How old is the chick and do you see any critters on it?

He is about 8 weeks old. I didn't see any bugs but I haven't seen him get picked on so I'm not sure what else it might be.
