one chick hatched out of 12

One chick hatched out of my 12 eggs , it seems very lonley. i tried to comfort it with a towel but it still seems sad.

wat should I do??????

You could buy a few more chicks from a local breeder or something.

You can try a stuffed animal, a clock that ticks, a radio or tv on real quiet...

I would also ask around at feedstores if someone has any chicks and is willing to part with one. I would think there's more to chicks growing up together than just a warm body and noise. There's nothing else you can get that would interact the same as another chick.

Along with a little stuffed animal, try a mirror in the corner of your brooder. We did that when we only had one hatch as well. The next day we we're able to go to a feed store and get a couple of little chicks as well. They definitely need little buddies.

I forgot to tell you....our chicks got so attached to the little stuffed animal that we put it outside in the coop when we moved them outside.....it's still out there with them-16 weeks later! They LOVE that stuffed animal! You'd think that they'd have pecked it apart by now.
