No she doesn’t seem to acting differently at all. She is walking quite normally. The leg doesn’t seem to be swollen. I believe she is around 5 weeksDoes your chick seem to be walking normally and acting normally? Is that leg a little swollen? Also, how old is it?
I don’t think she has a bandOne leg or the other doesn't have a band on it does it? The scales look different in more than just color too.
Im not exactly sure what to look for but I’ve examined her leg. What should I be looking for to find a band? I’ve attached more pictures if that helpsI know it sounds odd but have you examined her leg to be sure? I'm sure it isn't the case but as soon as I saw the picture, I wondered about an embedded band.
I also looked it up and some Wyandottes do tend to have some green/blue leg colors. It is odd that it would be just one leg but gene expression does odd things sometimes. I think you're on the right track with just monitoring since there don't seem to be any symptoms of a serious problem at this time.Yeah it really is. I’ve been reading up on some chickens who have green legs but it’s just so weird that it’s only one. I’ll keep an eye out on her the next week and make sure it’s nothing.
