One day old chick is just laying around & not opening her eyes

She can walk... has no visible deformities.. Her eye opens for just a bit when picked up but closes soon after..she sleeps alot. She pipped her egg and then it took her forever to get out. What should I do for her? She has taken some drops of sugar water but nothing else? Any advice?

I don't have much hope for her.. She doesn't even pick her head up when I open the brooder. Very sad! I would appreciate any advice you might have.

In terms of diseases to rule out, the main disease that I worry about is coccidiosis with chicks. However, if this chick has never been up and around since hatching, and all the other chicks are fine, I'd consider helping this one remember to drink every hour when you are available.

Dip its beak every hour with sugar water (recipe on chick care page below). Change to regular water as recommended.
