One Egg AND Now nothing

We have 4 18 week old White Leghorns/Red sex link. One of my girls layed her first egg 3 days ago right in the nesting box, but she hasn't layed another one since. Is that normal? They free range so I'm constantly worried she will lay somewhere else. I would keep her in the coop but she layed in the mid afternoon between 1 and 3pm. She would probably be freaked out if I made her stay in the coop that long. Any thoughts?

It is normal for pullets to lay an egg (or two!) in a day and then stop. They have to get into the groove, which may take up to a month. Keep an eye out for hens hiding out elsewhere to lay, but I find my hens prefer laying indoors to outdoors.
